Matildas hope to build on win streak in friendlies against Scotland, England

In upcoming friendly matches against Scotland and England, the Australian women’s football team will be looking to maintain their current run of success. These matches are crucial in getting the teams ready to host the Women’s World Cup in July. This year, they’ve beaten the likes of the Czech Republic, Spain, and Jamaica while winning seven straight matches overall and going undefeated in 10.

The Matildas are peaking at the right moment, according to winger Hayley Raso. After achieving their best-ever Olympic result in Tokyo, the squad is eager to keep improving in preparation for the next World Cup.

Matches versus Scotland and England, who both feature formidable opponents in Caroline Weir of Scotland and the defending European champions and World Cup favorites, England. The upcoming tournament has pumped up the squad for the next battle.

Plough Lane in London will host Friday’s play against Scotland, while Brentford’s Community Stadium will host Tuesday’s match versus England. The Australian women’s squad is training for the World Cup with tremendous zeal and resolve.
