Top 10 NFL Combine Players of 2018

10) Edge Rusher Harold Landry (Boston College)- Landry ran a 4.64 40 yard dash, and had a 36-inch vert with a 119-inch broad jump. He stands at 6 foot 3 252 lbs. A force to be reckoned with.

9) DB Derwin James (Florida State)- This freak of a DB stands at 6’3 and weighs in at 215 pounds. He had an impressive combine performance with a 4.47 40 yard dash, 40-inch vertical jump, and benched 225 21 times. Jeez.

8) LB Shaquem Griffin (UCF)- Before I even begin let me just say WOW. This headhunter lost his left hand as a boy, and until the Super Bowl was not even invited to the combine. He proved the world wrong. With a prosthetic hand, Griffin managed to still push 225 20 times and ran a 4.38 40 yard dash. That’s the fastest in linebackers since 2003!

7) LB Tremaine Edmunds (Virginia Tech)-  The perfect combination of speed and strength. Standing at a whopping 6 feet 5 inches, the 253 pound LB still managed to run a 4.54 40 yard dash! Oh, I forgot to mention that this young stud is only 19.

6) TE Mike Gesicki (Penn State)- Gesicki really boosted his stock up after his combine performance. The Penn State TE performed better than every TE at the combine, in EVERY drill. Gesicki ran a 4.54 40 yard dash and repped 225 22 times. On top of that, the ex-basketball player had quite an impressive vertical jump of 41.5 inches!

5) QB Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma)- Mayfield had a pretty good combine overall. The 2017 Heisman Trophy-winning QB ran a 4.84 40 yard dash and had a vertical jump of 29 inches. Mayfield did, however, have the best 20-yard shuttle run out of all the QB’s at the combine with an impressive 4.28 seconds.

4) OG Will Hernandez (UTEP)-  Hernandez was the strongest lineman at the combine no doubt. This monster benched 225 pounds 37 times! That’s crazy! Hernandez stands at 6 feet 2 inches and weighs in at 348 pounds. Have fun in the trenches with that one defenses.

3) WR D.J. Chark (LSU)- Chark is your perfect all around WR. The LSU WR stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 199 pounds. This young man had an outstanding combine performance. Chark had the fastest 40 time out of all the wideouts clocking in at a 4.34. He also had the best vertical jump, and broad jump which were 40 inches, and 129 inches.

2) QB Josh Allen (Wyoming)- Anybody in need of a QB this season? Look no further. Allen did not win the Heisman but the 6 foot 5 inch, 233-pound quarterback had an impressive combine, to say the least. Allen ran a 4.75 40, had a vert of 33.5 inches, did the 3 cone drill in 6.9 seconds, and had a 119-inch broad jump. Allen placed first in all of these categories for QB’s at the combine.

1) RB Saquan Barkley (Penn State)- Easily the #1 overall player coming out of this year’s combine class was without a doubt, Saquan Barkley. The back stands at 6 feet and weighs in at 233 pounds. Barkley ran a lightning fast 40 clocking a speed of 4.4. The back also bench-pressed 225 pounds 29 times, which was the most out of all the other RB’s at the combine. If that wasn’t enough, Barkley also had a vertical jump of 41 inches. Barkley overall had the best combine performance and will be heavily considered as a #1 overall pick.
