Real Madrid’s Guler suffers new injury blow

Arda Guler, a midfielder Real Madrid recently signed, has suffered a thigh injury, the La Liga club said on Tuesday. This setback will cause the midfielder’s team debut to be delayed even further.

Real announced in a statement that Arda Guler had been found to have a left rectus femoris injury after the tests were completed.

The 18-year-old Turkey international had knee surgery in August after returning early from the team’s preseason trip.

Guler recently resumed training, but his most recent injury prevented him from debuting against Las Palmas on Wednesday as scheduled.

Although the club withheld information on his recovery, Spanish media suggested that he may be absent for three weeks.

Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr. have recently missed games due to muscle injuries. Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao are anticipated to miss the remainder of the season due to anterior cruciate ligament rupture. Guler’s injury comes on top of those setbacks.
