On Tuesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the host Los Angeles Clippers 101-100, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 31 points against his former team and Jalen Williams adding 20. The Thunder have now won eight of their last 10 games, with Josh Giddey and Isaiah Joe contributing 13 and 12 points respectively.
However, the Clippers suffered a setback as Paul George hyperextended his right knee and had to leave the game after being fouled by Luguentz Dort on a rebound attempt. George had scored 18 points against his former team, and Kawhi Leonard contributed 21 points.
In another game, the Boston Celtics beat the Sacramento Kings 132-109, with Jayson Tatum scoring 36 points and Jaylen Brown adding 27. Derrick White scored 20 points, with Marcus Smart contributing 17 and completing a double-double with 11 assists. Domantas Sabonis scored 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists for the Kings, and De’Aaron Fox led the team with 18 points.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 115-109, with Donovan Mitchell scoring 31 points and Caris LeVert contributing 18 points against his former team. Darius Garland and Evan Mobley scored 17 points each for the Cavaliers, while Day’Ron Sharpe led the Nets with 20 points. Spencer Dinwiddie added 19 points and 11 assists, and Mikal Bridges scored 18 points.
In the Detroit Pistons vs. Atlanta Hawks game, Trae Young scored 30 points, bouncing back from his second-worst scoring night of the season, to lead the Hawks to a 129-107 victory. Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 18 points, John Collins added 15 points and eight rebounds, and Clint Capela had 12 points and 16 rebounds. Detroit’s Marvin Bagley III scored a season-high 31 points, with Killian Hayes contributing 21 and Jaden Ivey adding 17.
The Orlando Magic defeated the Washington Wizards 122-112, with Gary Harris leading the team with 22 points. Paolo Banchero scored 18 points, and Kristaps Porzingis returned to the lineup and scored a game-high 30 points for the Wizards, who were missing Kyle Kuzma due to an ankle sprain.
Finally, the New Orleans Pelicans routed the short-handed San Antonio Spurs 119-84, with Brandon Ingram scoring 32 points. Jonas Valanciunas added 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Trey Murphy III scored 17 points for the Pelicans, who completed a four-game sweep of the season series. Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 20 points for the Spurs, who were missing Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, and Zach Collins.
