According to the club’s announcement, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand will replace the TeamViewer logo as Manchester United’s jersey sponsor beginning with the next Premier League season. The contract was reached with the American technology giant Qualcomm.
The club has not disclosed the terms of the agreement’s financial component. Still, The Athletic stated that Qualcomm and United had agreed to a minimum of a year’s contract, with the Old Trafford-based team “targeting an agreement worth 60 million pounds ($74.92 million) per year.
” The club has not revealed the agreement’s financial component specifics.
United replaced Chevrolet as their primary shirt sponsor in 2021 by entering into a five-year contract with the German technology company TeamViewer.
Despite this, Manchester United said in December that they had achieved a “mutually beneficial agreement” with TeamViewer, which would allow the club to regain the rights to the shirt front sponsorship it had previously sold.
After reaching an agreement with TeamViewer at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, the company said that in the future, it will engage in a targeted sales process inside a “normalized market.”
In a press statement issued late Tuesday night, Manchester United announced they had agreed with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. on an extended strategic engagement. As part of this collaboration, the Snapdragon logo will be placed on the front of the club’s renowned jersey.
Qualcomm Technologies is already a worldwide partner of Manchester United, and as part of that partnership, they promote their Snapdragon brand.
“As part of the enlarged arrangement, Snapdragon will take over as the front-of-shirt partner for Manchester United beginning with the 2024-25 season. Their logo will appear on the front of the club’s home, away, and third shirts for the men’s and women’s teams.
In July, Manchester United and Adidas reached an agreement worth 900 million pounds, extending their collaboration as the club’s official shirt supplier for another decade.
